Mildred F. "Millie" Watts, age 91, of Kalamazoo, MI died peacefully at Bickford Assisted Living in Battle Creek on November 23, 2016. Millie was born on March 24, 1925 in California Township, Michigan to Thomas and Lena (Jilenck) Hosek. She graduated from Coldwater High School in 1943. Millie married Harry Watts in 1943 and the couple welcomed six children into their home. Her children remember her as a kind, loving, patient mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Millie was a full time mother and grandmother who devoted herself to family and friends. She was loved by all who knew her and returned unconditional love. Millie was extremely generous of her time helping others. She was an amazing person who rarely complained, she was truly an angel sent here to care for all of the lucky people that had the honor of knowing and loving her. Millie is survived by her children, Donald (Joyce) Watts, Joan Young, David (Georgia) Watts, Kenneth Watts and Mary (Kim) Booth; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her beloved Alfie. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Watts; son, Greg Watts; grandson, Kendon Young; parents, Thomas and Lena Hosek and her siblings, Catherine Young, Tom Hosek, Alice Wilson and George Hosek. A memorial will be scheduled for August 6, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Sunnyside United Methodist Church, 2800 Gull Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49048 with a reception to follow at the Hunter's Creek Condominium Clubhouse. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mildred's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Heartland Hospice at 8075 Creekside Dr, Suite 120, Portage, MI 49024. The family would like to thank Battle Creek Bickford Assisted Living, Heartland Hospice and her many friends for their wonderful care, commitment and dedication to Millie.
