Mildred Clise

Mildred Knull Clise passed away July 24, 2016 in Kalamazoo at the age of 86. Milly was born January 2, 1930 in Urbana, Ohio, the youngest of eleven children of Edward S. and Lida E. (Ream) Knull. Milly was married to Richard H. Clise on July 16, 1949. Dick and Milly were married 62 years until he passed away in 2011. Love of family and caring for children were the greatest joys of her life. Babies were always so special. Milly worked as a medical technician in doctor offices in Ohio and Michigan, retiring in 1985. Milly is survived by her six children, Charles (Diane) of Alma, Robert (Judy) of Howell, Sally Holt of Michigan City Indiana, Donald of Eaton Rapids, Daniel (Brenda) of Hersey and Mark (Brenda) of Kalamazoo; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo, officiated by Pastor Kim Sandelin. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Interment will be in Kingscreek, Ohio on Thursday, July 28th at 12 p.m. The family of Milly Clise wishes to thank the staff of Crystal Woods in Kalamazoo for the tender and loving care she received while she lived there. The family is also grateful to the staff of Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan for service to Milly in her final months. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Crystal Woods or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
