Miladin "Don" Milisavljevich, 68, died September 16, 2019, in his home at Bay Ridge. Don was born September 27, 1950 in Plainwell, Michigan, at William Crispe Hospital, the son of Mike and Maria (Meyer) Milisavljevich. He was a graduate of Plainwell High School, class of 1968. After graduation he went to Ferris State University, School of Pharmacy. While there he was a member of Kappa Psi Fraternity. Until his retirement in 2013, he practiced pharmacy in the Kalamazoo, Flint, Grand Rapids, Traverse City and Leelanau areas. Upon retirement he moved to Traverse City's Bay Ridge Senior Housing. While there he was known as a gentleman and the doorman for many of their trips that he enjoyed. He is survived by his only son Nathan (Pharel) Milisavljevich; granddaughters Violet Milisavljevich and Madison Baker, of Los Angeles, CA; sisters Mila (Thomas) MacNaughton, of Cedar and Doris (James) Fleis of Rogers City; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces/nephews also survive him. Don was predeceased by his parents; sister Ilinka; brother Michael, who passed away last October. Don had a very rare form of cancer called Paraspinal Sarcoma. The University of Michigan Hospital is a research center for this disease, so he wished to donate his body for research purposes in hopes of helping others suffering from this rare disease. Don's family would like to thank the staff of Bay Ridge, Munson Medical Center, Cowell Cancer Center, Munson Hospice, and The University of Michigan Sarcoma Clinic for their guidance and care. Private services will be held at a later date. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Cowell Cancer Center in Traverse City, or to a charity of one's choice. Don and his family are being cared for by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services. www.reynolds-jonkhoff.com
