Michael Zagar, 63 passed away on December 13th due to complications from pneumonia. Mike was born in Portland, Oregon and lived most of his life in Racine. He was such a genuine and generous person. He loved sports especially the Packers, Cubs, Oregon Ducks, and Badgers. Mike most loved spending time with his family, Playing cribbage, Yahtzee, Cooking, Sunday evening old time talk/storytelling radio, Country music, and Fishing. Mike will be greatly missed! He is survived by his brothers and sister, Robin Zagar, Teri (Bill) Benko, Patrick Zagar, nephew; Brandon Benko, niece; Sami Benko. Aunts, Uncles; Jim (Judy) Zagar of Alamogordo, NM, Gary (Donna) Zagar of Colorado Springs, CO, Sherry Gottfredsen of Racine, WI, Sue (Gene) Schatzman of Racine, Fred White of Hatfield, WI and many cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; Richard and Beverly Zagar, Grandparents; Anthony and Eleanor Zagar, Grandfather, Guy Bickner (Bick) Snow of Milton Freewater, Oregon. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins; Sandy White, Robert Gottfredsen, Jr, Ted and Barb Zagar, Leo Zagar, Tony Zagar, Jon White. A private service will be held in his honor. The family would like to thank Ascension-All Saints ICU Staff, Dr. Iftekhar Bader, and Dr. Joel Niebuhr for the compassionate care they gave Mike.
