Michael Brokus

Died Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. Mr. Brokus was born August 28, 1951, in Allegan, the son of John L. and Iva Louise (Barfell) Brokus. Mike graduated from Allegan High School in 1969. He worked for several years in Holland at the Vo-Tech for small engine repair, and was a insurance adjuster for 15 years. Surviving are his two daughters, Amy Brokus of Kalamazoo, and Sarah Brokus of Allegan; one granddaughter, Lillian; his brother, John Brokus, of Otsego; .5 brother, Benny Koteras, of Allegan; one nephew; several aunts; uncles and cousins. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday from 6 PM until service time at 7 PM, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, www.gorden funeral.com. Pastor Tim TenClay from the Dunningville Reformed Church will officiate. Memorials may be made to Allegan Neighbors Fund, C/O Allegan General Hospital.
