Melvin D. "Mel" Glidden

Melvin “Mel” D. Glidden, age 61, peacefully passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at his residence. Mel was born in Racine, April 17, 1955, son of the late James and Ruby (Nee:Meininger) Glidden.

He was a graduate of William Horlick High School “Class of 1973”. On December 7, 1984, he was united in marriage to Vicky L. Lundgren. A hard worker with a keen sense of humor, Mel also enjoyed cars and riding his Harley. Most of all he was devoted to and treasured time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed by Vicky; his three children, Angela Meltzer, Melissa (Nick) Longo, David (Heather) Glidden; his grandchildren, Halayna, Madilyn, Caleb, Trey, Ayden, Reyna, Adley; sisters, Janice (Gene) Gottchalk, Denise Sierra; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 5, 2016, 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M.
