Maryanna Emmert

Emmert, Maryanna 1/1/1933 - 4/27/2022 Bloomingdale, MI Maryanna Jane Emmert, daughter of Cornelius and Effie (Kiel) Vande Biezen, Sr., passed away peacefully on April 27th, 2022 in Kalamazoo, MI after a fearless battle with cancer. She was a long time resident of Bloomingdale, MI, known for her kindness to her neighbors, green thumb, and extraordinary creative talents. Maryanna was an excellent fisherman and enjoyed picnicking and spending time with her family. You could find her most days doing her crossword puzzles and painting beautiful landscapes on gourds. Preceded in death by her husband Donald Emmert; four sisters Alice Vande Biezen, Dorothy Roberts, "Corky" Commasairs, and Margaret Bogren; two brothers Edwin Vande Biezen and Cornelius "Casey" Vande Biezen, Jr.; and son Robert Emmert. Surviving is her sister Ruthann Luce of Portage, Daughter DiAnn (Stanley) Brouwer, Son David (Kelly) Emmert, Son William (Nancy) Emmert, Grandson Robert (Amanda) Dean, Grandson Matthew (Jillian) Emmert, Granddaughter Jynessa (Brandon) Flude, Granddaughter Rachel (Jason) Swineheart, 5 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild, Neice Linda Luce, Niece Annette Sargent, Neice Kelly (Don) Reed, and dozens of great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held on June 11th, 2022 at 1 PM at the Bloomingdale Cemetery followed by a reception at her home.
