Mary Stewart

Mary Ellyn Stewart, 80, of Plainwell, MI passed away July 30, 2019. Mary was born November 10, 1938 in Holland, MI to the late Don & Gene TeRoller. Mary was a beautician for nearly 60 years in the Plainwell/Kalamazoo area managing her own shop full time until the birth of her first son. Her desire was to stay at home and raise her children but continued to do hair for her dear friends in her dining room right up until May 2019. Along with her husband Keith, Mary enjoyed Indy car and midget auto racing. As a family, Keith, Mary, Mark and Scott would travel to Berlin Raceway to watch midgets race. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 49 years K. Keith Stewart of Plainwell, Michigan, brothers; Spriggs (Joan) TeRoller of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Steve (Cherie) TeRoller of South Bend, Indiana, sons; Mark (Debbie) Stewart of Portage, Michigan and Scott (Emily) Stewart of Plainwell, Michigan; stepson, Ken (Sherry) Stewart of Bloomington, Minnesota; stepdaughter, Pam (Jay) Hillier of Marquette, Michigan; 13 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at North Point Church 571 North 10th St. Plainwell, Michigan 49080 on August 10th. Visitation is from 2-3pm, service at 3pm followed by refreshments and desserts.

In honor of Mary, the family has requested donations in lieu of flowers to American Cancer Society, Hospice of Southwest Michigan or North Point Church.
