Mary Lou Mac Leay

Mac Leay, Mary Lou Portage Passed away Sunday morning, March 3, 2019 at her home. Mary was born January 20, 1933 in Portage the daughter of the late Russell and Mayme (Mills) Sears. Prior to her retirement she worked for several years with the Upjohn Company. Mary enjoyed traveling with her husband Don in their motor home, boating, and her flower gardens. She also enjoyed spending time around her pool with her grandchildren, and spoiling her dogs. Mary treasured the time she spent with her family and friends. On July 27, 1951 Mary was united in marriage to her loving husband of 67 years, Donald MacLeay, who survives. Also surviving are her sons, David (Yvonne) MacLeay, Dan (Patricia) MacLeay, Douglas (Christine) MacLeay; 6 grandchildren, Denise, Traverse, Donald, Sarah, Nicholas, and Amy; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Sears. Services will be held at 12:00pm Thursday, March 7 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Thursday from 11:00-12:00pm prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
