Mary Jane Anable

Mary Jean Anable, age 92, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Monday, April 25, 2016. Mary Jean was born in Kalamazoo on February 21, 1924 to the late Edward and Ella Hart. She worked at Jacobson's Department Store for many years, retiring in 1996. Mary Jean was an avid gardener and reader and enjoyed spending time at her cottage on Bankson Lake. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. On November 25, 1948 she married Warren E. Anable, who preceded her in death in 1973. Mary Jean is survived by her children, Stephen (Stephanie) Anable, Mary Ellen (John) Wyman and Geoffrey (Sara) Anable; grandchildren, Collin (Stacey) Anable, Emily (Jimmy) Nasca, Nicholas (Laura) Garn, Adam (Jackie) Garn and Matthew Anable and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Jean was preceded in death by her grandson, Brett Anable. A funeral service will be held at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on the day of the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association , c/o of the funeral home.
