Mary Inez Clemens, age 69, of Allegan, Michigan passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at her home. Born in Dunn, North Carolina on June 11, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Mary Belle (Robert) Schneider and Jesse Lee (Patsy) Parrish and was the wife of the late John Clemens, Jr. She resided in the city of Allegan for over 50 years. Inez was retired from Parker Hannifin after more than thirty-nine years of dedicated employment. She was a long-time member of the Allegan Eagles Auxiliary. Inez enjoyed spending time antiquing and tending to her flower garden. She had recently developed a love for star gazing and hunting mushrooms. Inez was passionate about caring for her four-legged friends as well. Teka and Little Bit were her faithful canine companions and Levi was her feline friend for many years. She also doted on her neighbor's cat, Bonnie Sue, frequently checking in on her and making sure she had plenty to eat. Above all else, Inez will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Mila Ann Clemens (Stan), Shane Lee Clemens (Bobbie) and Angel Fair (Jefferey) Hopkins; siblings, Randy B. Parrish (Joan), Sherrie D. Horton, Frankie L. Schneider, all of whom reside in Allegan, and Steven Parrish of North Carolina; grandchildren, Josh, Drake, Jaidin, Laney, Harper, Alyssa and Bridgett; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Ryker and Laykin; sister-in-law Joyce VanderPal (Bob); many nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Chip Funk. In addition to her parents and her husband, Inez was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Ann Christman. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A memorial service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 12:00 PM with visitation for one hour prior. Memorial donations may be made to the Wishbone Pet Rescue Alliance.
