Mary Carlson

Passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the age of 86. Mary Lou was born March 1, 1931 in Kalamazoo to the late Orvel and Linda (Truax) McCollum. Lou was united in marriage to Paul Carlson on December 23, 1950. Paul survives. Lou loved her family first and foremost and was best known as "Grandma Lou" to all the many children that she cared for. Among her favorite activities were, sitting on the porch with her husband Paul, listening to the radio and visiting with a friend, family member or grandchild who stopped by. Lou is also survived by her children, Dan Carlson, Cindy (Thad) Homister and Karry Carlson; and 2 grandchildren, Haylee and Genel Homister. Lou was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Carlson. A graveside service will be Monday, August 21st, 1:00pm in Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
