Mary B. Liedick, age 95, passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at St. Catherine’s Hospital, Kenosha. Mary was born in Racine, September 15, 1921, daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Nee: Robeling) Zens.

Mary was a graduate of Washington Park High School Class of 1939. On June 14, 1969 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Ronald Liedick, who preceded her in death August 20, 2000. She was employed as a film librarian at the Racine Public Library for thirty years. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. An avid reader, Mary also enjoyed origami, playing bridge and hosting many family Christmas parties.

She will be dearly missed by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence (Mildred) Zens, Edward (Bernice) Zens; and sister, Helen (William) Spiering.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 21, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue with Rev. Ronald O. Crewe officiating. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery, Kenosha. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the church from 10:30 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to the Racine Public Library or to St. Rita Catholic Church have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Parkside Manor in Kenosha for their kind and loving care.
