Marvin Triestram

Age 82, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Marvin was born in Kalamazoo on December 9, 1935, the son of the late Benjamin and Martha (Lenting) Triestram. In addition to his parents, Marv was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Delval; brother, Howard Triestram and seven sisters, Dee McMakin, Bert Forsman, Marg Burnham, Ruth Noecker, Bernice "Midge" Auten, Bobbi Benthin and Beverly "Petie" Shattuck. He was a 1954 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School and worked as a lithographic plate maker in the paper industry for many years. On November 14, 1970, Marv was united in marriage to the former Rose Ann Barton who survives. He is also survived by his children, Dan (Jennifer) Triestram, Diane Hansen, Brad (Lisa) Triestram, Brenda (Deb Rininger) Geren and Kristine (Lawrence) Fleck; grandchildren, Erik, Justin, Caleb and Carly Triestram, Emily and Hannah Stroh, Toni Frisbie, Parker and Madison Triestram, Sean Delval, and Tyler, Jonah, Emma and Grace Fleck; and great-grandson, Spencer Frisbie. Marv is also survived by his in-laws, Bill (Barbara Brundage) Barton, Mary Ellen Smith, Louise (Hobey) Brown and Joyce (Harold) Dishon; as well as many nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate his life will take place at Sunnyside United Methodist Church, 2800 Gull Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49048, on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM. A time of visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
