Marvin L. Henry, age 82, of Paw Paw, MI passed away Monday, July 24, 2017, in Paw Paw, MI. Marvin Leroy Henry was born on October 8, 1934 in Berlamont, MI, to Roy and Anna (Nelson) Henry. He attended Berlamont Elementary School and went on to graduate from Bloomingdale High School in 1952. In 1954, Marv married Marigene Wilkinson - they just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on July 10th. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marigene; his three children - Ron (Pat), Karen (Kevin) and Marva; his seven grandchildren - Mike (Mandy), Sarah, Matt, Emily (Ben), Rachel, Jessica and Lauren; his three great-grandchildren - Zoey, Simon and River Marvin; his sister, Joan Fawley of California; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Martha. Marv had a unique vision for life and carried out his vision in his own simple way. He started out as a farmer and then in 1958 formed H&W Meat Packers in Grand Junction with his brother-in-law Carl Wilkinson and father-in-law Ted Wilkinson. From there, Marv became an active real estate developer and real estate broker. He opened Kalvan Realty in Gobles, added the Bangor location, where he worked the remainder of his 50 year career, alongside his son and business partner, Ron. Marv and Marigene spent their winter months in Bonita Springs, FL for many years where Marv was a partner in the Palm Lake Mobile Home Park with his cousin, Ken Bertolissi. Marv will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, and as a hard-working man with a vision. His family has been blessed to have been a part of his life and his vision. The family has planned a celebration of Marv's life at the DL Miller Funeral Home in Bloomingdale, MI, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com. Visitation with the family begins Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 5 to 8 PM, with a memorial celebration on August 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; St. Andrews Cathedral television ministry in Grand Rapids; Bethany Christian Services in Paw Paw, MI, or a charity of your choosing.
