Marvin Allan Hartleb, age 82, passed away November 25, 2016 in Kalamazoo, MI. Marvin was born February 5, 1934 in Chicago, IL, the son of Maurice and Margaret (Edwards) Hartleb. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Marvin received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Michigan State University and was a longtime member MSU Alumni Club. For many years he was employed by Beckley-Cardy Company as a school supply and equipment salesman to many area school systems. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Hartleb; father and step-mother Morris and Charlotte Hartleb. Surviving family are Edward M. Hartleb III (Vicki), Valerie (Jeremiah) Johnson, Ella and Isaac Johnson; and special friends Tom and Kathy Hamill. In accordance with Marvin's wishes cremation has taken place. A public Graveside Service with full military honors will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, December 6th at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend please meet at 11:15 AM at the entrance to Ft. Custer in the cortege assembly area. Memorials in Marvin's memory may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.
