Marlene Bisceglia

Marlene A. Bisceglia, age 89, died peacefully at home on November 13, 2020. She was born March 24, 1931, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Ray and Lucille (Graham) Patterson. Marlene attended Kalamazoo Central High School and has called the Kalamazoo area her home during her whole life. On November 5, 1960, Marlene married Donald E. Bisceglia, and they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. For over 34 years, Marlene was a clerk at Sawall Health Foods and volunteered with Borgess Service League, where she was often working in the Gift Shop. Don and Marlene were members of Haven Reformed Church and enjoyed attending church functions. They were also members of the Kalamazoo Corvette Club. She loved working in her yard and cooking for her family. Her family includes her husband Don Bisceglia; her children: Larry (Cheri) Stratton, Connie (Donald) Ampersee, Richard (Karen) Stratton, Laurie (William "Bill") Swaney; her 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters: Joan Lalley, Jack (Donna) Patteron, (Susie) Patterson, Ray (Carol) Patterson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson Scott Stratton and brother and sister: Colleen (Irwin) Kakabaker and Paul Patterson. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
