Marjorie Spiech

94, of Paw Paw, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019. She is survived by her three sons, Walter (Julie) Spiech, Jim Spiech, Steve (Robin) Spiech; two daughters, Joan Spiech and Kathy (Dave) Houtman; eight Grandchildren, Kerry (Antonio) Ortiz, Kristen (Nick) Pollich, Jimmy Spiech, Daren (Rhiannon) Sage, Haley (Jeff) Crites, Brad (Danielle) Spiech, Tim (Kristy) Spiech and Emily (Terrance) Kissane along with 20 great grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Walter S. Spiech, brothers, George Whyment and Leonard Whyment, sisters, Viola Norman and Fern VanDenBerg. Marjorie was born November 29, 1924 in Plainwell. She was united in marriage to Walter S. Spiech on May 19, 1945 and enjoyed 47 years of marriage until his passing in 1992. She was very supportive of Walter and would work along side him on the family farm. Marjorie was known for being a gracious hostess, making sure everyone felt welcome and had plenty to eat. She was known for volunteering and helping those in need. Marjorie owned and operated her own ceramics shop for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Holiday celebrations were always filled with joy at her home on the lake with her family. The family will receive friends Friday, June 21, 2019, beginning at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Ave, Paw Paw, where a funeral service will commence at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be directed the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or Saint Vincent DePaul Society.
