Marjorie Spaulding

87 formerly of Allegan, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Green Acres Nursing Home in Wayland, Michigan. Born April 9, 1931 in Battle Creek, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Eva (Byers) Cook and was the wife of the late Robert Spaulding. Marge and Robert married on May 27, 1950 and together raised five children and celebrated 65 years of marriage before Robert's passing in 2015. Marge enjoyed being a homemaker and providing for her family, along with making wonderful memories that they all cherish. She also was involved in the Camp Fire Girls. Her fondest times, however, were spent with her family. Marge is survived by four of her children, Daniel Spaulding, Deborah (Jim) Wert, Dennis (Sandra) Spaulding and Dean (Carol) Spaulding; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with one great-great-grandchild expected in February. Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Spaulding and her brother, Herb Cook. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the funeral service will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10:00 am. Memorial donations may be made in Marge's name to Action International Ministries. Interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
