KAMPS – Mrs. Marjorie (De Meester) Kamps, aged 90 of Grand Rapids passed away Sunday August 7, 2016 and went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her husbands Neil De Meester and Marinus Kamps and daughters-in-law Kathy De Meester and Lisa Kamps. Surviving are her children: Daniel De Meester, Carol and Gary Nienhuis, , Jon and Kristi De Meester, Todd and Kim De Meester, Bernie and Laurie Kamps, Darlene and Larry Bertsch, Doreen Dykstra, Eugene and Sharon Kamps, Paul and La Rae Kamps, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gertrude Westrate and Lena Westrate, Corinne Englesma, Dan and Jane De Meester, Ruth and Rich Kamp, Myra Kamps, Nancy Kamps, Gibb Schimmel, Leon Kamps, Louie and Esther Kamps, Marge Mellema and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family Friday from 6 to 9 PM at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW. Private interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens on Saturday morning. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 AM at the Hope Protestant Reformed Church, 1580 Ferndale S.W. Grand Rapids, with Rev. David Overway officiating. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Protestant Reformed Special Education Fund, 4900 40th St., Hudsonville, MI, would be appreciated.
