Marion Collins

Of Spring Arbor, MI went home to be with her Lord Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Sparrow Specialty Hospital in Lansing, MI, at the age of 90. Marion was the daughter of Vern Eugene and Katherine Margaret (Hoff) Reynolds, born June 14, 1927 in Johnstown Township, MI. Marion is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Richard Collins; two children, David Collins and Nancy (Jacob) Toskey; two granddaughters, Kelly (Vincent) Castiglione and Lindsay (Blake) Smith; two great-grandchildren, Adrianna and Vincent Castiglione; four sisters, Naomi Underwood, Elnora Welda, Catherine Ovington, and Mary Jean Thomas; brother, Leo (Bette) Reynolds; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Marion was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Velma Judkins and brother, Vern Reynolds Jr; four brothers-in-law, Wayne Judkins, Harold Underwood, Richard Ovington, and Gerald Thomas; sister-in-law, Dorothy Reynolds. She was a Kalamazoo Central High School graduate. Marion worked for 10 years at various dress shops in Kalamazoo and Jackson until retiring to be a warm, loving homemaker to her family and friends. She loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always had a warm loving smile for everyone. Marion enjoyed cooking and baking as well. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no services at this time. Inurnment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI at a later date.
