Marilynn Chipman

Marilynn J. Chipman of Richland, MI died on December 27, 2016 at age ninety-six. Marilynn went to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. She is with her beloved husband, Royce and daughter, Sandra Abbott. Marilynn passed away peacefully with family and loved ones around her. Marilynn had three daughters, Tonya, Sandra (deceased), and Char-Lee. She is survived by Tonya Preston, Char-Lee Houtkooper, and son-in-law, Jack Houtkooper, all of Richland; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Marilynn and Royce were members of the United Methodist Church for fifty years. As a child, Marilynn rode to church in a horse & buggy. In the later years, a member of the Gull Lake United Methodist Church. Marilynn graduated from Comstock High School and Kalamazoo Nursing School. She worked at Borgess, Bronson, and private duty nursing. She served her Lord by taking care of many family and friends. Marilynn and Royce served their country till the day God called them. A memorial service to celebrate Marilynn's life will be held 11:15 a.m., Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Gull Lake United Methodist Church 8640 Gull Rd, Richland, MI 49083. Family and friends will continue the celebration of Marilynn's life with a luncheon at the church immediately following the memorial service.
