Marilyn Helder, 93, died Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Appledorn Assisted Living Center.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 3, 1922, the daughter of Edward and Edmonia Van Dyke.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Raymond J. Helder on November 5, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorothy Ann (Dick) Mickola, and sister Helene (David) Howe.
She is survived by her children, Patricia (Peter) Nordstrom of Ponce Inlet, Florida, William (Roxanne) Helder of Holland, and Mary Anne (Reed) Bunce of Camden. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Marilyn graduated from Holland High School and attended Hope College. She retired from Mead Johnson in 1986.
Marilyn was a member of Third Reformed Church. She served on numerous committees and projects within the church as well as community service organizations.
A family graveside service will be held in the near future.
