Marie Stoner

Marie, E. Stoner, age 98, of Tecumseh, formerly of Kalamazoo Passed away Thursday June 23, 2016 at the Fieldstone Assisted Living. Marie was born September 12, 1917 in Dorr the daughter of John and Theresa (Herp) Gries. She retired after 30 years from General Motors and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Log Cabin Quilters, and the VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Stoner in 2004; two sisters; three brothers. Surviving is a son, Michael Stoner; daughter, Charlene Stubbs; four grandchildren, Blake Stubbs, John Stoner, Paul Stoner, Shanna Trost; great-grandson, Jack Charles Trost; brother, Frank (Betty) Gries; sister, Kay Gries-Walsh. Friends are being received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday June 27, 2016 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, where a Rosary will be recited at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kalamazoo Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Memorial contributions may be directed Alzheimer's Association South-West Kalamazoo Region.
