After a full life, Marie Lillian Gorski passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 6, 2016 at the Coronado Retirement Village in Coronado, CA. She was 95. Marie was born to Hattie and Frank Lindau on May 25, 1920 in Racine, Wisconsin and was a graduate of Horlick High School. She married Albert G. Gorski on November 18, 1944 at St. John Nepomuk Church in Racine, WI, and together they shared 55 happy years. A lifelong bridge player, Marie loved gardening, watching Green Bay Packer football games, volunteering at her church, dancing, entertaining, riding her exercise bike, and camping with family. Her employment highlight was staffing the office of the Secretary of the Faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside campus. Marie relocated to Coronado seven years ago, where she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Marie was preceded in death by infant son Jamie and husband Albert. She is survived by daughter Chris Gensler of Coronado and her husband Daniel and two granddaughters, Lauren Gensler (New York City) and Brooke Gensler (Coronado) as well as by her son Jeff Gorski (Prairie Village, KS) and his wife Mary and grandchildren Annie Gorski-Harmel (Salem, OR) and Andrew Gorski (Mendota Heights, MN) and their spouses Garrick Harmel and Staci Gorski and four great grandchildren (Lillian, Cora, Abigail, and Henry). A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 21, 2016, 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 655 C.Avenue, Coronado, CA., and a graveside prayer service will be held at a later date in Racine, WI. Marie will be buried next to son Jamie and husband Albert at Holy Cross Cemetery, Racine, WI.
