Walden, Marguerite "Peggy" Estelle 12/22/1932 - 1/3/2021 San Rafael, CA Walden, Marguerite "Peggy" Estelle (Hackley) was born on December 22, 1932, in Kalamazoo, MI. She peacefully passed away on January 3, 2021, at the age of 88 in San Rafael, CA, with her family by her side. Peggy was the eldest daughter of Edith Mae (Connor) and Valentine David Hackley, both of whom preceded her in death. Peggy is survived by her ex-husband of 27 years and dear friend, Harold William Walden. Peggy spent the majority of her life in Kalamazoo, MI, where she graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1950. She relocated to Greenbrae, CA, in 1985 upon her retirement, and spent the remainder of her days there. Peggy and Harold married in 1951 and together they had six children: Narada Michael (wife, Katie); Ronald (partner, Kelly); Kevin; Christopher (wife, Annette); Yolanda (husband, Tory); Edie (husband, Alan). Peggy is preceded in death by her son, Ronald. Peggy is survived by five of her six siblings: Mary Mitchell (husband, Mitch); Vicki Fischer (husband, Nolan); Valerie Whiteside (husband, Earl); Travis Hackley (partner, Brenda). Peggy is preceded in death by her brother, Edgar Hackley (wife, Gwen). Peggy is survived by ten grandchildren: Krishana Walden; Christopher Walden (wife, Monica); Melissa Wheeler (husband, Christopher); Rebecca Turrietta (husband, Michael); Jamison Williams; Marguerite Walden-Kaufman; Alex Walden-Kaufman; Kelly Walden; Kayla Walden; Michael Walden: fifteen great grandchildren; Anthony Walden, Aniya Anderson, Aliyah Anderson, Jamon Rhea, Nevaeh Walden, Christopher Walden, Tiana Walden, Christian Walden, Cashis Walden, Ezekial Wheeler, Bethany Wheeler, Aurora Wheeler, Michael Turrietta; Jordan Turrietta; Noah Turrietta. Peggy is preceded in death by one great grandchild, Anthony Walden. Peggy is also survived and deeply loved by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. An outdoor service celebrating Peggy's life will be held in San Rafael and Kalamazoo in the Spring/Summer. Location and time to be announced at a later date.
