Life Story / Obituary
Marguerite J. Kerkman, “Margo”, age 63, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Grafton, ND, February 21, 1952, to Samuel and Theresa (Nee: O’Sullivan) Eagleson.
Moving with her family to Racine as a young girl she graduated from Washington Park High School “Class of 1970”. Margo enjoyed teaching children. She ran a daycare, taught at Racine Montessori School and taught special needs students at Union Grove High School. On October 2, 1982 she was united in marriage to William J. Kerkman. Margo was a member of Harbor Light Yacht Club, enjoyed bowling, antiquing and traveling. More than anything she treasured time spent with her family. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her husband, Bill; children, Deana (David) Gervais, Brian (Cathryn) Kerkman; granddaughter, Tessa Claire Gervais; her father, Samuel Eagleson; mother-in-law, LaVerne Kerkman; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary (Darryll) Bohn, Michael Kerkman, Catherine (Dan) VanKonginsveld; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Theresa Eagleson and her father-in-law, Theodore Kerkman.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday, May 4, 2015, 7:00 P.M. with Reverend Mark Jones officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Memorials to the American Diabetes Assn or the Kidney Foundation have been suggested.
