Marguerite Briggs

Marguerite M. Briggs, age 92, of Kalamazoo, MI went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ January 1, 2017. She was born to Ivan and Mildred (Tyson) Bowersox December 19, 1924 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was employed by the Upjohn Company for 41 years before retiring. Known to many as "Margo", she was a member of the First United Methodist Church for many years and was a great friend to many. She was an avid gardener and cook. On June 18, 1946, she was united in marriage to Allen Briggs and was married for 70 years. They were able to travel around the world. She is with her beloved husband, Allen Briggs, who passed away August 21, 2016. Surviving are two nephews, Donald Bowersox of Georgia, and Ken Bowersox of Maryland. Surviving also are special friends, Janie and Bob Kinas, Dorothy Howard and the "niners" at Friendship Village. A memorial service for Al and Marguerite will be held 2 o'clock Thursday, January 19th at the First United Methodist Church, 212 S.
