Margaretha Darling

Margaretha "Maggie" Darling, age 56, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Maggie was born in Leopoldsburg, Belgium, on December 2, 1959, the daughter of the late Julian and Hubertine Albert. Maggie was a loving woman who had a great smile and warm personality. She made and kept friends wherever she was. Maggie was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and was always there for her family. She was a hard worker who was employed at the Kalamazoo County Clerk's office for many years. When not working she loved to spend time gardening, doing crochet, and taking trips with her family. She also loved to spend time caring for her pet dogs. Maggie leaves behind the memories of a life well lived and she will be missed by all who loved her. On November 13, 1984, she married Ronald Darling who survives. She is also survived by three children, Steven Drijkoningen, Angelique (Scott) Drijkoningen-Elkins, Kimberly Darling; four grandchildren; many siblings; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place and a memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 19, 2016, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to the West Michigan Cancer Center, c/o of the Joldersma & Klein funeral home.
