Margaret Tibbitts

Tibbitts, Margaret Margaret Louise Tibbitts, 87, of Augusta, MI passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020. She was born November 9, 1933, in Ludington, Michigan to Glenn and Phyllis (Kibiloski) Bell. She was united in marriage to Jack Richard Tibbitts on June 13, 1955. Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Jack R. Tibbitts. She is survived by her brother, Francis W. (Eleanor) Bell and many nieces,nephews, great nieces,and great nephews. As a student, she excelled academically and played tennis and basketball. Following her graduation from the University of Michigan, Margaret worked as a middle school counselor with Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools, retiring after 34 years. During her lifetime, Margaret provided a caring home to many dogs, all of whom were dear to her heart. She and Jack were avid Michigan sports fans and enjoyed hiking in Colorado and road trips throughout Michigan. Margaret also enjoyed reading, sewing, playing cards, and listening to John Denver and Roger Miller. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
