Margaret Borst

Died Friday afternoon January 12 , 2018. Margaret was born July 17, 1931 in Cassopolis, Michigan a daughter of Earl and Anna (Tomas) Messenger. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with Kalamazoo Public Schools for 25 years, retiring in 1988. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Myron "Keith" Borst on February 19, 2004; her son, Michael Borst on March 5, 1968; 2 brothers, Earl Messenger Jr. and Robert Messenger; and a sister-in-law, Sally Noggle. She is survived by 3 children, Carol Sue Borst of Kalamazoo, Roger (Nancy) Borst of Flat Rock, MI, and Steven (Theresa) Borst of Grand Rapids; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Barb Bloomer of Traverse City, MI; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Wednesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 3-7pm Tuesday at the chapel. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
