Mardith Wilson

Mardith J. "Mardie" Wilson, age 68, of Kalamazoo, MI died July 12, 2016 at Borgess Medical Center. Mardie was born February 1, 1948 in Plainwell to Quentin and Wanda (Shurlow) Colvin. She graduated from Galesburg-Augusta High School in 1966 and went on to marry the love of her life, Keith Wilson, later that year, on October 15th. Mardie dedicated her life to her family, staying at home and raising their children. Mardie loved watching sports on television. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking at the Augusta VFW, going to the casino and attending family gatherings. But most of all, she had a big heart and loved to help people and spend time with her grandchildren. Mardie is survived by her husband, Keith; their two children, Tammie (Larry) Stockwell and Rodney Wilson; four grandchildren, Lyndsie (Marc) Throop, Bailey Wilson and Kyle and Allisyn Stockwell; two great-grandchildren, Annaliese Campbell and Natalie Throop; a brother, Melvin Colvin and two sisters, Sue Witman and Marilyn Needham. Mardie was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Daniel Colvin and a special "mom and dad" Harold and Shirley (Davis) Mann. A memorial service to celebrate Mardie's life will be 11:00 AM, Monday, July 18th, 2016 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Augusta Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jeffrey Worden. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Augusta V.F.W. Post #7956.
