Lynn passed away with his loving family by his side on November 21, 2018. He was born on February 26, 1930 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of the late Veda Greanya. On May 23, 1953, he married his devoted wife of sixty five years, Darlene (Cole) Lohrberg. Lynn served proudly in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for Kalamazoo Food Services for seventeen years and retired from The Upjohn Company after being employed for an additional seventeen years. He enjoyed participating in bowling and softball and was a dedicated and enthusiastic fan watching his children and grandchildren participating in sports activities throughout the years. Lynn was a loving family man and will be dearly missed. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children, Michael and Shirley Lohrberg of Kalamazoo, Elaine Wade of Portage; three grandchildren, Nicholas and Jessica Peacock of Vicksburg, Dayna and Mike Woods of Fishers, IN, Kevin Lohrberg of Naperville, IL; two great-grandchildren, Makayla Peacock and Nicholas Peacock, Jr.; two sisters, Aileen Greanya of Vicksburg, Glenda and Ed Fouch of Portage; one brother-in-law, Frank Tiefenthal; several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother; his very special uncle, Bruce Lohrberg; and two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Belanga, Beverly Tiefenthal. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00PM on Thursday, November 29th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. The service to celebrate Lynn's life will begin at 1:00PM Thursday at the Westside Chapel with Pastor Fritz Kruithof officiating. A private family interment will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. Memorials in Lynn's memory may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Michigan, or to the Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes.
