Lynda E. Tarne

Died Wednesday morning January 15, 2020 at her residence. Lynda was born March 29, 1947 in Battle Creek, Michigan a daughter of Roscoe and Barbara (Severance) Douglas. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with Flowserve Corporation for 27 years before retiring. On August 16, 1980, she was united in marriage to David M. Tarne who survives. Also surviving, 2 children, James (Michelle) Tarne of Morgan Hill, CA and Kathleen (Stephen) Wolthuis of Kalamazoo; 3 grandchildren, Ben, Lilly, and Hannah; a sister, Sally Papke of Sevierville, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Monday, January 20th at the Agape Christian Church, 609 Cherokee St. A memorial visitation will be 3-6pm Sunday, January 19th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S. 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or to the Educational Supplies Fund at Parkwood Upjohn Elementary School.
