Lyle Bensinger

Lyle William Bensinger, 85 of Allegan, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Mr. Bensinger was born November 25, 1932 in Pullman, Michigan, the son of the late Reuben and Myrtle (Hayes) Bensinger. Lyle's working career was spent as a machinist for Rockwell International. As a young man he met and married June Louise Richards and recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Together Lyle and June had one daughter, Cheryl, as well as five other children that they raised as their own. It was always a very active household at the Bensinger's. Enjoying being around children, Lyle spent 25 years coaching for a local little league team. In his spare time, you could find him playing shuffleboard or golfing, but his favorite activity was camping. He and June were members of the Portabeds Camping Club and always looked forward to their trips. Time with family, church, and great friends made for a very fulfilling life. Lyle leaves behind his loving wife, June; daughter, Cheryl (Russ) Bradfield; adopted children, Esther, Mercedes, Daniel, and Wesley Kaylor; his brother, Earl Bensinger; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Ray. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 10:00 11:00 am at The River Church (1652 Lincoln Road, Allegan) where a Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am, Pastor Jim Dykstra officiating. Memorial donations may be made in Lyle's name to the church.
