Luis L. Trevino, age 91, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Monterrey, Mexico, July 30, 1924, to Ruperto and Francisca TreviƱo, one of thirteen children. He immigrated to the United States and proudly became a naturalized citizen.

On December 1, 1962, he was united in marriage to Shirley M. Rohr of Racine. Sadly, they had but two years together. She passed away on November 17, 1964. Luis was employed as an assembler by Jacobsen Manufacturing for thirty-five years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed simple pleasures like classical music, family gatherings, and square dancing in his later years.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Kevin of Racine and Laura (William) Nelson of Ripon; his grandchildren, Ana and Connor Nelson, also of Ripon; and other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his wife, Shirley, he was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy. 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at 10:30 A.M.

A special thank you to the staff at Wheaton Franciscan CVI and Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
