Lucille G. Wagner, age 89, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Ridgewood Care Center. Lucille was born in Cumberland, WI, July 30, 1927, daughter of the late Lester and Marie (Nee: Yost) Glovka.

On August 28, 1947 she was united in marriage to Robert C. Wagner who preceded her in death, October of 1996. In her earlier years she was employed with the Wisconsin Telephone Company and Goldblatts. Lucille was a longtime member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Mary Mission Circle. After her son, James Allen Wagner, passed away she became a strong advocate of the Alliance of the Mentally Ill. She became involved with expanding opportunities with rehabilitation for the mentally ill and was the recipient of the Governor’s award. Luciile was an excellent seamstress and tailor. She made many suits, wedding, prom dresses and even, leather jackets. She also enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and reading. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Lynne Kirk of Racine, Kenneth (Melissa) Wagner of Western Springs, IL; her grandchildren, Christiaan and Andrew Kirk; great grandchildren , Miles and Maxwell Kirk; sister, Charlotte (Richard) Danniger of Columbus, OH; sisters-in-law , Betty (Radley) Hyde of Medford, OR, Joyce (Carl) Juergens of Milwaukee, WI, Melvin Underwood or Kewanee, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, James Allen Wagner; sister, Violet Underwood; brothers-in-law, Harvey Wagner, Carl Juergens and Radley Hyde; and dear nephew, Richard Juergens.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, February 12, 2017. 4:00 P.M. with Rev. John Roekle officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday, February 12th from 2:00 pm until time of service at 4:00 pm. Private Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials to the Alliance for the Mentally Ill, First Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Heart Association, The Cancer Society have been suggested.
