Went to her eternal rest on Saturday, August 22 at the Franciscan Villa Care Facility in S. Milwaukee. Louise was born on September 13, 1930 in Auburndale, Wisconsin and graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 1948. On June 9th, 1951, she married Raymond, her husband of 50 years, and raised a family. After years of working jobs to help make ends meet, Louise went back to school and fulfilled her life-long dream of becoming a registered nurse. In a time when adult learners were a rare thing, she defied odds and graduated from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in 1971 at age 40, with Florence Nightingale Honors. Louise worked at St. Luke’s Hospital and for many years at Kurten Clinic and St. Mary’s Hospital. She was known as “Dr. Fralich’s nurse” to many people in the Racine area.

Louise was a member of Sacred Heart Church for 52 years, serving as a Eucharistic Minister, President of Christian Mothers, Member of the Knights of Columbus, member of the Sacred Heart Choir and volunteer. She was an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan and rarely missed their games on television. Louise’s hobbies included sewing and gardening, especially her roses. She is an inspiration to all whose lives she touched and will be greatly missed.

Louise is survived by three sons, David (Audrey) of Greenwood, Wisconsin, Douglas (Jeanne) of Racine and Dennis (Gail) of Maplewood, Minnesota; grandchildren Becki, Brenda (Ryan), John, Nicole (Anthony), Robyn (Trent), Michael (Lisa) and Denise (Russell), Casey (Abigail) and 11 great-grandchildren; brother Steven of Marshfield, Wisconsin; aunt Sister Philotheia of Rochester, Minnesota; sister-in-law Phyllis of Villa Park, Illinois; nephew John (Elizabeth) Ledvina of Milwaukee. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond; son’s Daniel and Donald; great granddaughter Zoe Wee One Lavengood; mother Marie; father Ernest; sister Frances; brothers Ernest Jr., Thomas and David; father-in-law, Michael Andrewski; mother-in-law, Mary Andrewski (Rucinski); sister-in-law, Margie (Schwake); brother-in-law, Robert Andrewski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 27, 2015, 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Avenue with Rev. Ricardo Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Thursday at the church from 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass at 10:00 A.M. Memorials to the Nurses Foundation of Racine, P.O. Box 323, Franksville, WI 53126 have been suggested.

A special thank you to her support group at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and to the caregivers at Franciscan Villa Care Facility for their loving and compassionate care.
