LouAnn Baumstark, age 83, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Racine Commons. LouAnn was born in Racine, December 17, 1933, daughter of the late Carl and Edith (Nee: Gauthier) Wurster.

On November 8, 1952 at Holy Name Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Thomas A. Baumstark who preceded her in death, April 24, 2005. LouAnn was employed by ARCO Manufacturing for a number of years, lastly employed as Director of the Southside Revitalization Organization. An avid reader, she also enjoyed traveling and playing Schafskopf and cribbage. LouAnn especially cherished time spent with her friends and family. She will forever be remembered as a loving and supportive mother.

Dearly loved she will be missed by her children, Michael Baumstark of Villa Rica, GA, Timothy (Tonya) Baumstark, Steven (Tracy) Baumstark, Thomas (Cori) Baumstark, all of Racine; her eight grandchildren, Robyn, Holly, Chloe, Isabella, Edie, Skyler, Hunter, Kiersten; her four great-grandchildren, Cameron, Antonio, Jonae, Frankee; brother, Charles Wurster of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her grandson, Luke Baumstark.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 9, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, with Rev. Terry Huebner officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. Private interment will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
