FISH (DODGSON), LORY ANN Hickory Corners, MI Lory, age 56, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, July 6, 2016 at her residence. Lory, the daughter of Lewis A. and Sally J. (Clancy) Dodgson, was born in Kalamazoo, MI on May 29, 1960; was a lifetime area resident and a 1978 graduate of Kalamazoo Hackett High School. She was the Co-Owner of Custom CareLink, a home care business in Kalamazoo for the past 20 years. Lory was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church of Augusta, MI and the Richland Lions Club. When not busy shopping, Lory enjoyed being on the lake, playing the piano and Up North annual family trips. She had two passions in life; the first, being with her family and spending as much time as possible with them and second, her Dogs and Grand-dogs. Lory lived a life of selflessness and was compassionate with helping people and animals. Lory was united in marriage to James A. Fish, Jr. on October 10, 2010 at the Gull Lake Country Club. Surviving is her husband, Jim; her daughter, Brittany M. (James Williams) Toornman of Portage, MI; two sons, Barry D. (Tara M.) Toornman, II of Ann Arbor and Darren J. Fish of Hickory Corners; her Mother, Sally Dodgson of Richland, MI and three sisters, Sue J. (Tim) Davidson of Broomfield, CO, Linda J. Engle and Lou A. (Bill) Beeke, both of Richland, along with eleven beloved nieces and nephews and four great nieces; her mother and father-in-law, Alice and James Fish, Sr. of Hickory Corners and two sister-in-laws, Tamalyn (Dave) Flook and Susan (Brian) Buckham, both of Hickory Corners, along with three wonderful nieces and nephews. Lory was preceded in death by her dad, Lew on May 6, 2010. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 12th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 12648 East D Avenue, Augusta, MI 49012 with Father Christopher J. Derda, Celebrant and Deacon Michael A. Carl, Assisting. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland. Family and friends will continue Lory's life celebration with a time of fellowship and a luncheon immediately following the committal in the Church Social Hall. Lory's family will greet friends on Monday, July 11th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 9170 East D Avenue (M-89), where the Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lory's honor may be directed to the University of Michigan C. S. Mott Cancer Center, 1540 East Hospital Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48109 or the PAWS WITH A CAUSE, 444 W. Michigan Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
