Lorraine "Dora" Allen

Allen, Lorraine "Dora" 8/10/1927 - 10/14/2016 Gobles, formerly Kalamazoo and Richland Passed away Friday, October 14, 2016 surrounded by her family. Lorraine was born August 10, 1927 in Columbia Township, the daughter of Edwin and Ethel Love. She had lived in the Kalamazoo and Richland areas for the majority of her life prior to moving to the Gobles area the past 5 years. She had a true love for her Lord Jesus Christ. She enjoyed playing golf at Silver Lake where they had a cottage with their best friends and extended family where they enjoyed countless Rook games, buttered popcorn and laughter with Don and Darleen Gillespie and their many children. Lorraine also enjoyed crocheting, baking, reading and garage sales. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Bruce (Debbie) Steck, James (Rhonda) Steck, Marlene Steck, Tracie Jewell (Robert) Marti; grandchildren, Tammy, Angela, Jim, David, Joslyn, Ryan, Alee, Noah, Simon, Gabriel; many great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Viola and Marsha. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Steck, Jr. in 1995 and George Allen who passed in 2014; siblings, Margaret, Allen, Robert, Edna, James and Jack. A graveside service will take place on Monday, October 17th, 1 PM at East Cooper Cemetery, Cooper Township. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Texas Corners Bible Church.
