Lorraine M. Cramer, age 76, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015. Lorraine was born in Imlay City, MI on November 26, 1938, the daughter of the late Fred and Lucy (Schaaf) Hoeksema. She was a member of Comstock Christian Reformed Church. She owned and operated the Fig Leaf clothing store, then worked in retail at Jacobson's and most recently worked as a real estate agent for Jaqua and Prudential. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, golfing and reading. Lorraine was married to Vernon W. Cramer for 55 years; he preceded her in death on July 3, 2013. She is survived by three children, Cynthia VanderMeer of Kalamazoo, Carol (Felix) Brooks of Kalamazoo and Sue (Rick) Lewis of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Betsy) VanderMeer, Gregory (Stephany) VanderMeer, Bree (Jason) Anglemyer, Ariel (Don) Ashcraft, Matthew Lewis, Michelle (Kevin) Walsh and Anthony (Melanie) Lewis; fifteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Warner (Barbara) Hoeksema; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lewis Jager, Roger (Henrietta) Linders, Bernadine Dykstra, Muriel Cramer, Herm (Darlene) Cramer, John (Betty) Cramer, Dean (Joanne) Cramer and Allan (Sally) Cramer; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Ann Cramer; sister, Jean Jager; two brothers-in-law, John Dykstra and Walter Cramer; and very special niece and nephew, Sally Godo and Mike Cramer. The family would like to thank Dr. Anna Hoekstra and her staff at West Michigan Cancer Center for all the care they provided during Mom's illness. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 8th at the Comstock Christian Reformed Church, 5300 Comstock Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49048. Rev. Ben Hulst will officiate, with private interment in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Comstock Christian Reformed Church, Kalamazoo Christian Schools or West Michigan Cancer Center.
