Lorin A. Bryer, of Scotts passed away on October 5, 2018 at the age of 96.Lorin was born on December 13, 1921 in Kalamazoo, MI. He was the son of Adolph and Ethyle (Leland) Bryer. On November 3, 1956 he married Mary Jean Austin. Lorin was a member of the St. Michael Lutheran Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading financial and automobile magazines. Lorin is survived by his two sons: David (Kathy) Bryer, of WI; and Daniel (Nicolle) Bryer, of Scotts; three grandchildren: Caitlin (Ryan Williams) Bryer, of NY; Kristopher and Alexander Bryer of Scotts. Lorin is also survived by his siblings: Norman Bryer, of Kalamazoo and Beverly Caldwell, of Kalamazoo; two sister-in-laws: Gertrude Weaver, of IN, Joyce Berklin, of GA and one brother-in-law: Loren Austin, of OR; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held for Lorin on Friday at 11am at the St. Michael’s Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10-11am at the church. Burial will be at Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
