Loretta Sue Lipe age 60 formerly of Traverse City MI, passed away at home February 26, 2016 in Louisville, KY.

She was born in Muskegon, MI, January 29, 1956 to Jack Pierce and Barbara Broge.

Loretta Sue Lipe graduated from Muskegon High School in Muskegon, MI in 1975, She was a member of VFW Post 2780 in Traverse City, MI and VFW Post 1181 in Louisville, KY. She was an avid member of HOG the Harley Owners Group. She loved beautiful sunny days and Motorcycle rides with the love of her life Mike Thayer, family and friends. She absolutely loved any chance to have her entire family together to enjoy life and each others company.

Sue spent her amazing time here on earth loving her children and grandchildren every moment of every day. Sue was an amazing women, Mother and friend to everyone she came in contact with. Sue was a true angel in every sense of the word and has now been called upon by our heavenly father to serve a much greater purpose.

Loretta Sue Lipe is survived by her long time companion and soul mate, Michael Thayer; six children, Melissa (Jeremy) Mitchell, Rebecca Lopez, Amanda (Eddie) Anderson, Lindsey Daugherty, Jessica (Lee) Bailey and son Cody (Emily) Lipe; 18 Grandchildren; two brothers, Danny (Tracey) Pierce and Terry (Tracey) Pierce; two sisters, Brenda (Zack) Aboumoudrig and Alice (Brian) Doane.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Pierce; her Mother Barbara Pierce; her late husband Robert Lipe; two grandchildren, Mackenzie Bailey and Mackennah Bailey and her Father, Eugene Broge.

A memorial luncheon will be held at the VFW Post 2780 in Traverse City from 4pm to 7pm Thursday, March 3, 2016, following a private service for the family.
