Lois Evelyn West, age 83, of Stuttgart, AR passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Born in Paw Paw, MI., on August 2, 1934, she was the fourth born child to the family of Richard Leroy and Francis (Masten) Clippinger. She received her education at Mattawan High School and graduated with the class of 1952. On November 28, 1953 Lois was united in marriage to Howard (John) West who was serving in the United States Air Force. Lois happily settled in to the life of a military wife for the next 26 years. Their home was blessed with the birth of one daughter, Debra. After Johns discharge, life's journey took them for a time to Lawrenceville, GA., where Lois worked as a Floral Designer for the Dogwood Flower Basket. In 1998 they moved to the Brinkley area, and eventually settled in Stuttgart.Lois loved being around animals and was an active and dedicated member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart. She spent many hours with her church family as a volunteer, cooking in the kitchen, teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir and working with youth groups.Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Francis Clippinger, husband, John West, brothers, Patrick Richard Clippinger, Leroy Fulton Clippinger, sisters, Virginia Lee Raymond, Orine Daisey Pleyte, and Vivian Annette Smith. She is survived by her daughter Debra West Kisgen and husband Patrick, of Duluth , GA., brothers, Frank Leroy Clippinger, of Phoenix, AZ., Henry Hilton Clippinger, of Parchmont, MI., and Robert Earl Miller of Safety Harbor, FL., sisters, Marian Francis Paro, of Schoolcraft, MI., Laura Jane Sirrine, of Paw Paw, MI., Dorothy Ann Trautman, of Kalamazoo, MI., grandchildren, Patrick Kisgen Jr. and wife Stephanie, of Richmond Hill, GA., Meredith Kisgen, of West Hollywood, CA., Marissa Hart and husband Matthew, of Cumming, GA., David Niknafs, of Delray, FL., great grandchildren Cooper Kisgen, Carter Kisgen and Asher Kisgen all of Richmond Hill, GA.. Visitation will be on Monday, from 1:00-2:00P.M. at Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Clarendon, AR., with services beginning at 2:00. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery in Clarendon.
