94, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018. She was born July 23, 1924 to the late James and Ruth (Mahanke) Jellis, Sr. Lois was united in marriage to Albert "Nibb" McGlinsey on August 31, 1947. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1997. Lois moved to Kalamazoo in 1946. She met and married the love of her life a year later. Soon after, she became a proud mother to Marsha. Lois retired from Bronson Hospital in 1987 where she worked as a secretary in the HR Department. Throughout her life, Lois formed friendships easily and each of those friendships were very dear to her. Family was everything to her and she returned to her home state of South Dakota annually to visit those she loved. Lois was an avid quilter, seamstress, golfer, bowler, gardener, reader, dog lover and was very involved in the church community. Above all, she cherished being a mother, a grandma and most recently, a great-grandma. Lois was admired, respected and loved by many. Her determination, humility, grace, compassion, and above all, strength, was beyond compare. Lois is survived by her daughter, Marsha Lole; grandsons, Jeffrey (Niki) Lole and Kevin Lole (Matt); great-grandson, Tyler Lole; siblings; Beverly Stormo, Shirley Stormo and LueAnn VanEimeren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 25th, at 1:00pm at First United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo, 212 S Park St W, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. A private interment will be at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South.
