Madison, Linda 9/8/1939 - 8/19/2022 Simi Valley, Ca. Madison, Linda Lee 9/08/1939 - 8/19/2022 Simi Valley, California Linda Lee Madison, age 82, passed away peacefully at Simi Valley Hospital with her loving family by her side on Friday, August 19, 2022. Linda was born on September 8, 1939 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Gerald W. and Nelle F. (Abshire) Kaiser. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and worked as a secretary for several years before eventually leaving to raise her family. Linda married her former husband, Richard F. Madison, on November 30, 1958, in Battle Creek, Michigan, and together they had eight children. Linda was a lifelong learner, had a keen interest in studying God's Word, and took every opportunity to share the good news of God's Kingdom with others. She had a strong faith in the resurrection hope and was especially comforted by God's promise to restore the earth to a paradise by means of God's Kingdom that we pray for in the Lord's Prayer. Throughout her life, Linda had a love of languages and poetry - beautifully expressed in the creative letters she would send to loved ones. Cooking, knitting, and sewing were other favorite interests, which was an important advantage with eight children. She also loved caring for and raising domesticated birds. Her favorite was an African grey parrot named Mika, who had a knack for imitating her. In her later years, Linda developed a delightful artistic ability and she found great joy in sharing her paintings with others. Linda was quiet-spoken, yet brave and forthright when the situation required it - and she was always a lady. Whenever you spoke with her, Linda wanted you to know that you were loved. Linda is survived by seven of her eight children, Barbara (Jeff) Wieland, Diane Offenbacher, Sandra Madison, Mark (Josephine) Madison, Karen (Humberto) Proano, Joanne (Aaron) Kilburn, and Kristen Basaran, as well as fourteen grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Heather Anne; her sister, Sharon; and her son-in-law, Can (John) Basaran. Due to family circumstances, arrangements for a public memorial and private burial are still pending. The family will notify loved ones when a date for the service has been finalized.
