Lillie “Lillian” Florence Witek, age 93, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Elizabeth Residence, Oak Creek. Lillian was born in Racine, July 23, 1922, daughter of the late William and Lillie (Nee: Kammien) Nelson.

On January 20, 1940, she was united in marriage to Walter E. Witek who preceded her in death in 1977. Lillian was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Trinity’s Ladies Aid. She enjoyed reading and tending to her beautiful rose garden. Most of all she devoted and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Jimmy (Jean) Witek, Thomas (Linda) Witek, all of Racine; her five grandchildren, Keith (Melissa) Witek, Kimberly Clayton, Craig Witek, Thomas (Tanya) Witek, Todd (Katie) Witek; great-grandchildren, Jayme and Jody Witek, Alexandria, Natallie, Madison, and Abigail Witek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Gage Andrew Witek on September 15, 2012.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016, 10:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva Street, with Rev. David Gehne officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Saturday at the church from 9:30 A.M. until time of service. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Aid have been suggested.
