Lillian T. Neumann, age 93, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 6, 2017, at St. Monica’s Senior Living. She was born in Racine, March 7, 1924, daughter of the late Anton and Theresa (Nee: Juracek) Kozenski.

Lillian graduated from Racine Horlick High School. On May 17, 1952 at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Clarence B. Neumann who preceded her in death on March 20, 2006. Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, and friend, and treasured the times she spent with loved ones. She worked at Badger Shirt and J.I. Case. Lillian was a faithful and active member of both St. Joseph’s and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. For many years she volunteered at the St. Patrick Meal Program and served as an enthusiastic Girl Scout Leader. She was a skilled artist, avid lover of flowers, and talented golfer, winning the Racine County Golf Championships of 1950 and 1951.

Lillian is survived by her children, Paul (Julie) Neumann of Naperville, IL, Linda (Pedro) Castaneda of St. Paul, MN, Mary (Jon) Omernick of Wauwatosa, WI; Robert (Kim) Neumann of Racine, WI, three grandchildren, Mark and Katie Omernick, and Adam Neumann, and brother, Tony (Mary Virginia) Kozenski and many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wencel Kozenski and Joseph Kozenski, sisters Marie (Benny) Skowronski, Celia (Paul) Schmidt, sister-in-laws, Kathleen Neumann, Hildegard (Joseph) Beres, Mildred (Leander) Jungbulth, and Gertrude (Richard) Johnson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie Street, Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Steve Varghese officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Highway 32. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family at St. Joseph’s at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Joseph Parish have been suggested.

Thank you to relatives and friends for your loving prayers for Lillian’s eternal rest. Lillian will be dearly missed by many family and friends.
