Lillian Merrick

Lillian Irene Merrick Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Age 90. Lillian was born in Detroit, MI on September 2, 1926, the daughter of the late Charles Labram and Vivian L. (Hilton) Labram. She was employed by Kalamazoo Public Schools and retired from Loy Norrix in 1992. She was an active member of Sweet Adeline's and enjoyed swimming & dancing. She was married to Emmerson "Bud" Merrick, who preceded her in death in 1989. She is survived by three children, Michael (Sharon) Merrick, Deborah (Craig) Langeland, Paul (Joanne) Merrick; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank (Judy) Labram; one brother-in-law, Dave Wolford; one sister-in-law, Ella Labram; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ron Labram and Chuck Labram. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, February 10th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007. The funeral service will be held at the funeral chapel at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 11th, officiated by Rev. James Dyke. Interment will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
